Brian McIvor has been involved with training and development work since 1978. He has extensive training experience in the public and private sectors in Ireland, the United Kingdom and internationally with over 30 years’ experience in the Public Service and Private Sectors – nationally and internationally. He has extensive experience in the design, presentation and evaluation of a wide range of management and personal development programmes. He is on the Associate Faculties of a number of Third Level Institutions including Trinity College Dublin (MBA Programme), The Irish Management Institute (MSc in Organisation Development) and the Applied Business School Wiener Neustadt (Austria). Since 2006 he has been engaged as a part-time consultant with the Retirement Planning Council presenting programmes on Retirement and Mid-Career Transition with the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland.
Training experience
Over 15 years experience as freelance training consultant specialising in Management, Communications and Interpersonal Skills.
10 years with Irish Life as Staff Development Officer: designing and presenting courses on Staff Induction, Customer Service, Training of Trainers and Microtechnology.
5 years with the Management Training Unit, Institute of Public Administration, Lansdowne Road, Dublin designing and presenting courses in the areas of Organisation and Methods, Statistics and Personal Computer Skills.
